*** GOVINDA

Govinda is the alter-ego of Austin based producer/composer Shane Madden. He began studying violin and composition at the age of eight and went on to study classical violin at the University of Texas where he fell in love with electronic music production. It was in Madden’s pursuit of his gypsy roots that he opened his ears to music from around the world. From experiences learning violin with mysterious masters on his journeys across the globe and his passion for modern design and technology, the current sound of Govinda was born.

Govinda has played with Thievery Corporation, Tipper, Bassnectar, Shpongle, Cheb I Sabbah, STS9 and many more and been featured on over 25 compilations such as Buddha Bar II, Asian Travels II, and Nirvana Lounge selling a combined 400,000 copies. Govinda has played at numerous festivals throughout North America including Coachella, Lightning in a Bottle, Sea of Dreams, SXSW and more. Govinda’s music has been licensed on shows like WB’s “Roswell,” MTV’s “Road Rules,” and Bravo’s “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” as well as many independent films.

The Govinda live show immerses the audience with a textured atmosphere of exotic, dubby vibrations interwoven with cosmic visual projections, world class dancers and mesmerizing vocals- all to the magic of his live electronics and violin. https://soundcloud.com/govindamusic

*** FABIAN ALSULTANY

DJ Fabian Alsultany was initiated into the DJ world as a teenage New York City club kid in the late ’80s. For over 20 years DJ Alsultany has performed his tribalistic musical alchemy at major festivals, world class nightclubs and venues, conferences and yoga/retreat centers across Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa, India, the Caribbean, and North and South America. Creating the city’s hottest international music DJ collective, Globesonic Soundsystem, in 2000, Alsultany performs with an uncanny sense for musical wizardry and an irrepressible ambition to infuse the national music scene with eclectic, worldly beats and universal rhythms, causing Billboard Magazine to dub him the “World Music Impresario.” Alsultany has served in executive positions with Putumayo World Music and Palm Pictures, alongside industry legend Chris Blackwell, founded and produced the 2012 Tadasana Festival of Yoga and Music in Los Angeles, produced and guided the creation of dozens of albums, remixes and compilations (including his latest, Yoga Lounge, released by White Swan Records to significant fan acclaim), and continues to tour the world as a highly sought-after DJ, performer, event promotor and music/event business entrepreneur. Alsultany has shared the stage with world-renowned artists, such as Thievery Corporation, Bassnectar, Michael Franti, Brazilian Girls, Macy Gray, Jamiroquai and more. His broad aesthetic transitions smoothly between smoke-filled dance clubs, shamanic retreats and massive outdoor music festivals. https://soundcloud.com/djalsultany

*** Resident DJ AMORE ONE of the LUMINARIES

Amore One, producer, composer, and DJ, also known in some circles as Guido Corleone, the heartbroken revolutionary in the Hip Hop crew the Luminaries. Much like his taste in music. A1 has been putting together DJ sets that range from sounds that spark the uncontrollable movement of bodies – to the source material it was sampled from – to the straight-up funky, deep, rare and obscure. Seeing this man in action is like taking a trip down memory lane into the future while being locked into the present moment on the dance floor. From Hip Hop, rare groove, electronic, bass, indie, funk, soul, rock, punk, metal, reggae, library, film, soundtrack, foreign, folk and cowboy – to that one sample that you never knew came from that one track you never knew existed – this is a cross-section and a quantum possibility of what you can expect to hear in an Amore One soundest – which basically means: ANYTHING GOES.

*** Special Glow Hoop Performance by Lulu Lam

*** Hosted by J BRAVE of the LUMINARIES
