A world traveler based in Oakland, CA Lafa Taylor is an achieved singer/emcee/producer. His music carries a message of inspiration and activation, while staying gritty, bassy, and most importantly danceable. Lafa’s live show is energetic, dynamic and unique. He has a great talent for connecting with his audience and working with the energy of the crowd. His collage of infectiously harmonic, bass heavy, multi tempo music quickly heats up the dance floor. His vocal style ranges from sweet melodic choruses to tongue twisting rhymes. He is also known for his intricate beat boxing, and often incorporates live looping. Well loved by many, Lafa is making major moves, supporting big names as well as headlining his own sold out shows. Watch for this international man of music as he continues to spread love and bass wherever he plugs in.

West Coast Bass Maker Nico Luminous is on a mission…His unique brand of “Glitch-a-delic Soul Whomp” fuses melodic progressions, futuristic sound design and organic elements into sexy bass drops. His original Dj sets journey through all tempo ranges and styles from Dubstep, Psychedelic trap and Bouncey Mid-tempo wobble jams. Also a lifelong Beatboxer/MC, Nico uses ableton and his custom effects pedal belt to live loop his beatboxing, lyrics, and keyboards like you’ve never seen or heard before.

Jaya Lakshmi & Ananda
(Bhakti Trance Dance)

‘Kirtronica’ is a term for a new genre of music that is currently being established in the yoga world which is electronic dance music combined with live Sanskrit/Indian chanting and singing over it. Jaya Lakshmi was one of the pioneers of ‘Kirtronica’ with her previous band “Lost at Last”that was founded in Maui, Hawaii in 1997. Over the last few years Jaya Lakshmi has composed original electronic music using Ableton Live. Similar to the the Lost at Last sound, her new music is a mixture of house and tribal trance beats, with (recordings of) acoustic instruments like tabla, guitar, flute, and sarod. In the current duo format, Jaya Lakshmi sings live while Ananda runs Ableton Live. They lead the audience through an ecstatic dance journey that awakens their shakti, inspiring devotional trance states and deepening their connection with the divine.
