:::: DJ SETS BY ::::

~ BLACK 22s

The Black 22’s are are not just DJs, but Good Vibe creators. No two Black 22’s sets are the same and endless hunting for new tracks keeps their sound fresh for them and their listeners. The two are connoisseurs of high energy, dance floor activating music. Both J*Labs and Lou E. Bagels have a deep passion for DJ-ing and each brings their own flavor into the mix. When combined they bring a bass heavy funky dirty genre-busting party vibe that keeps the dance floor bouncing. Hitting the decks with a colorful, playful vibe Black 22’s deliver every time. The two also actually share a birthday, 2/22! But Lou E. Bagels had already come up with the name “Black 22s” before they met, it’s actually based on a roulette bet!

Craig Kohland is a talented multi-percussionist, performer, DJ, music producer and ecstatic dance facilitator driven by the healing rhythm of the drum and the creative expression of the sacred.Since 1995, Shaman’s Dream, Craig’s multi-faceted music collective, has been at the forefront of the yoga and ecstatic dance music scene and has produced some of the key albums used in the yoga and dance industry. As a producer and the musical director of the “Shaman’s Dream World Groove Ensemble”, Craig along with Micheline Berry, has facilitated hundreds of ecstatic dance/ “live” world music concerts, plus countless live music for yoga classes and ritual retreats. Craig’s other projects included being the co-founder of Yogitunes – – an online digital music store that features a huge selection of yoga inspired music from all over the world and Co-Producer of Ecstatic Retreats

~ MoOnSHakER

MoOnSHakER combines the heavy-hard hitting filthy Bass of Brian “Bstee” Steele and Mahal as a collaborative Tag-Team Duo. Fun onstage presence + Heavy, Danceable Dubstep = Win. Their Hour Long “BassFace Set” is available as a Free Download on their Soundcloud Link above. It includes works from Phutureprimative, Ionik, and a mid tempo Alpha Data Remix of Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Can’t Stop”. Simply stated, it’s a Dank Mix! MoOnSHakER will warm up the crowd nicely on a Friday !

:::: LIVE ART BY ::::

Hans Haveron is an internationally known visual artist and muralist spending most of his time in between NYC, LA and Miami. For the last 12 years he has been showing worldwide along the sides of many heavy hitters such as Shepard Fairey, David Lynch, Alex Grey, Audrey Kawasaki, El Mac, Retna, Kofie, Mear One, John Park, Android Jones, YOKII and many more. Alongside of these “ART” projects, Haveron is also a 892 Union Costume Designer in the Hollywood film machine. Gaining popularity quick in biz for his signature style body costuming with airbrush which is now a hugely popular trend on the west coast. He has been able to work on many films, music videos, commercials and Fashion Week events with top ranking clients from Disney, Brittany Spears, Tim Burton to British GQ.

Ashley Bowers is an artist of many mediums. She graduated from California State University Long Beach in 2009 with a BFA in drawing and painting, but has done everything from painting, to sculpture, to costume design. She currently lives and works in Los Angeles as an artist, a live painter, and a fashion model. A ‘Burner’ by blood, her father Jim Bowers started going to Burning Man when she was a kid. He encouraged her artistic talents & leadership qualities, & always included her in the construction of his own art & BM grant projects. Her work has been shown in several group shows throughout southern California, but the “Boogaloo” art car project, which debuted at Burning Man 2011, was her biggest project to date. When it comes to her painting, her style and inspiration is constantly evolving. Being a woman of multiple races, and an interesting life’s history, has inspired her to explore the identity of not only herself, but all women. In an effort to combine her passions for art and fashion, she incorporates the use of lace and other textiles into the work and has even sewn these embellishments directly onto the canvas.

John Park is a teacher and artist living in Los Angeles. He received his training at the Rhode Island School of Design where he studied classical drawing, painting sculpture and anatomy. His current work is an attempt to reconcile these classical influences with the more urban aesthetic of the New Contemporary art movement. The paintings are executed in a live, public setting in the many bars, clubs and musical events that serve as his studio. He teaches drawing and painting at Concord High School in Santa Monica.

SCREENING AT 9:30pm Sharp!!!

Co-Creation * Participation * Modeling

THE BLOOM’s second episode examines how Transformational Festivals have become opportunities for “Practicing The New World” through the paradigm shift of producing reality through CO-CREATION, utilizing an ethos of PARTICIPATION which results in immensely rich environments that take the festival beyond commercial entertainment and into the realm of meaningful community experience and ritual, and MODELING, the many ways that participants are taking their transformational experiences back into their communities and their everyday lives.
